"The village of West Alexandria has undergone a bit of a makeover, thanks to a Main Street improvement project. U.S. Route 35, known as Dayton Street inside the village limits, received renovations that included widening the road to include a turn lane for east and west bound traffic, as well as the installation of new curbs and sidewalks. Decorative street lights with banners were also installed. The project was funded by an Ohio Community Development Distress Grant program as well as with village funds. Another change to the village is the annexation of 120 acres to the west. The property has frontage along Route 35, with the majority extending to the north near the Twin Valley local school facilities."
